Frequently Asked Questions
What is Lacrosse?
Lacrosse is a fast-paced team sport that combines speed, skill, and strategy. Players use a stick with a net to catch, carry, and pass a ball, working together to score goals. Easy to learn and exciting to watch, lacrosse is a fun way to stay active, build teamwork, and enjoy a game that’s growing in popularity around the world.
When can I come to train?
A lot of new players join during our introduction month in September and February but you are always welcome to come train with us.
Mixed practices: Wednesday 18:00, USC Leiden
Mixed practices: Friday 18:30, USC Leiden
Men (high-contact): Monday and Wednesday 20:00 at HC klein Zwitserland in
the Hague.
Can I train for free?
You can train three times for free. So come along on one of the training days. Then after those three training sessions you can decide whether the sport of lacrosse is for you and whether you want to become a permanent member of Leiden Lacrosse.
What should I bring with me when I come to train?
Sporty clothes and sports shoes (if available, hockey shoes are recommended but not necessary). In addition, we strongly encourage you to bring a mouth guard.

I am going to study in Leiden next year and I am looking to find a fun and sporty way to feel at home in Leiden.
Then you’ve come to the right place! We organize a sporty and pleasant post-introduction period where you can get acquainted with the sport of lacrosse and get to know the members of the association.
REGISTRATION
If you are interested in a membership, you must have a valid sports subscription at the USC. In addition, you pay a contribution for Leiden Lacrosse (65 euro) and the Nationale Lacrosse Bond for games (40 euro). Lacrosse sticks and protection can be rented from the association, but we encourage our members to purchase as much of their own material as possible. Information on where to buy the necessary gear can be given by our members.
